Reconstructed Watermill

The watermill, dating back to the 19th century, was reconstructed following a design by engineers Józef Mizgała from Gliwice and Czesław Witański from Pszczyna. The rotation of the water-driven wheel directly drove rotating quern-stones. This is an overshot watermill, driven by the water flow brought to the top of the wheel.

There were several mills in Pszczyna: a mill in Chuchułka; an upper mill "at the road leading to Łąka", a castle mill in the town, a mill on the upper pond and a town mill in Jankowice.
